Question about Washing Machines
I recently changed the drive coupling, however the tub will not spin. It makes a "clanking" sound. The machine will agitate and drain. I assume the problem is in the transmission?
Hello, I am going to risk getting a bad rating here but I'm one of those that hates passing by a question because I am likely to get a bad rating. No spin and clacking noise is the coupling, Pull the motor off and take another look at the coupling..I'm willing to bet its bad again. If the coupling is bad again replace it and watch the machine over the next couple of months..If it breaks again your transmission is going bad and your going to have to buy a new washer. If you have any other questions or concerns please feel free to comment again. Good Luck!! Mike
