I don't think it has anything to do with the lens Converter. Sometimes errors occur on a memory card. Now you recovered your pictures feel free to format your card in the PC, with FAT32 format. Then try putting it back in the camera. Please check the cardholder if anything is in there, like a little piece of paper or dust. Would be great if you had another card to check if the card was wrong or the camera has an issue.

I think something is blocking the lens......i am not seeing anything when i try to take a picture

Have you tried switching to the picture preview mode after every shot? If the pictures come out there, it simply means that your lens and camera itself cannot "talk" to each other and you may have to bring it down for servicing.

Blinking circle when i try to take a picture

The camera is cannot confirm focus, so it locks up. Try changing the button on the lens to M. Manually focus the lens on something and take a picture. Move the button back to A (autofocus). It should work ok.
If not, try moving the switch back and forth several times to clean any corrosion.
Try another lens on it to determine if its the camera or the lens.

Get ERR message when trying to take pictures/troubleshoot no help

Two possible things to check.

First, a bad memory card can easily cause this problem. Try replacing the card.

Secondly, could be a poor connection between camera and lens. Be sure contacts around the rim of lens and lens opening are clean and free of dirt, dust and debri. Do not get anything inside your camera when you remove the lens. Dust is a killer to the sensor in the camera.

Camera does not react

I quote: "A couple of days ago after using it when trying to see the pictures on the camera the LCD did not show anything. The lens reacted and even take pictures but nothing was visible on the LCD screen."

That means that there was a problem either with a LCD display or with ribbon cable.

Now:"I tried charging the battery and removing it from the camera, now the camera only does a bit sound when switching on but nothing else, the lens does not even come out."

That means that the ribbon cable had probably shorted, now the camera may be furtherly damaged.

The camera must be disassembled to access the LCD and fix the problem.
The repair must be done by an experienced technician, as to access the LCD you need to remove both covers.

The following blog outlines some repair options for a lens error. They won't work for all cases, but they're worth a try if the camera's no longer under warranty:
