Question about Yahoo Mail

Open Question

After the merger of yahoo & att I can no longer send an email to a "category" (a list, a group or whatever the current terminology is). If I follow the instructions, I can get to the list, click email to entire list and the name of the list will appear in the "TO" box. However, after clicking "send" I receive a message that says "missing or malformed recipients" I had no trouble with and have made no changes to the lists since before the merger. I have the same problem if I trying switching back to "AT&T Classic." Also, on Yahoo there is no way to select from the list, it's all or none (although as I said, it doesn't work for all). I "classic" I can select names, but they still won't send. I tried that, because I thought that there might be a limit on the number that could be sent; however I could not send even to as few as 10. There are a lot of other problems with this new, improved email--but this is the crucial one. Please Help!

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: yahoo mail error

This is quite unusual and there is nothing you can do about this except to report this error to the Yahoo mail technical support team.

Go to the following page

http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mail/yahoomail/forms_index.html

and from it select the form (click the page to get it), that is proper for your report.

Don't send any login information unless they ask for it (they will likely NOT ask for a password, but can ask you for your username).

This error information shows that their mail login processing scripts and possibly their database interface have been corrupted or coded incorrectly, and this is something that only they can fix, not you, the mailbox user. HTH

SOURCE: Yahoo mail login errors

It is pssible to get to your mail by changing your account to Yahoo Classic. To do this you will need to go to Yahoo's home page and click on the 'Mail' link. When the "Error" 1st message comes up click OK. When the 2nd messgae appears move the "Error" message over the "having trouble loggin on" message located in the top right of the of the screen. Locate the OK button over this message. Very quickly, and I mean rapid, click the OK button twice. You may need to do this several times to time it right - it took me three times, When Yahoo's solutions appear just click in the Classic option. I am now back in touch witth the world and although it hasn't resolved Yahoo's problem yoou will, at long last be in touch. I'm not claiming to be a problem solver, I found this in Yahoo's answers.

Hope this resolves your problem. Good Luck

SOURCE: since upgrading yahoo 7 mail I have not been able

New version of Yahoo has many issues at this time. They hope to have it fixed soon. In the meantime, try switching from one Yahoo version to another. Or shift to the Yahoo Mail Classic version (the old interface) which loads faster and works on all web browsers.
You also want to check yahoo mail using a different web browser program (Mozilla, Chrome). Or check your internet connection speed and firewall access limitations.

Using your contacts create a "Group" then add members to the "Group". When you send from the "Group" you will no longer see the individual email addresses.

How to send email

Hi,

Sending an email is a very easy task. To open yahoomail, click on www.yahoomail.com

On the top-right side, below the Yahoo!'s logo, click on the button labeled "New"

On the box labeled "To", enter the email address of the person you want to send the mail. You can write the Subject on the box labeled "Subject".

Once done, writeup your mail on the Space provided below. When done, just hit the Send button. You can also attach files using the Attach button.

Hope this solves your problem. Thanks for using Fixya.

How do you send an e-mail ?

1) Click New in the upper left corner to write an email.
On the new page, click in the blank box beside To: and type the email address of the person you're writing to. Add addresses in the Cc: field if you want to send a copy of your email to anyone else. Others receiving this email will be able to see anyone listed in the Cc: line.

2) Inside Subject: give your email a title-then write whatever you want to in the message window. That's the big box below.
Sending is the easy part. Once you're done writing (and attaching photos or files if you want... see below), just click Send.
Here are some tips that can help you in the future:

3) Open your Address Book in a sub-window
Clicking To:, Cc: or Bcc: (see below) opens your Address Book in a sub-window, from which you can select recipients. Click Insert Checked Contacts when you're done.

4) Multiple Recipients:
Send your email to more than one person. Add additional email addresses after To: and separate them with commas (e.g., johndoe@yahoo.com, janedoe@yahoo.com, etc.). If you will be emailing this group again, you might want to create a category for them. That way, in the future you can send to the group in one click!

5) Bcc:
If you want to send a copy of your email to someone, and not let anyone else see that they're getting a copy, click Show Bcc above the To: line. Bcc is "blind carbon copy. Bcc: recipients are invisible to the To: and Cc: recipients of the email, as well as to each other. For example, if you send an email to johndoe@yahoo.com with a Bcc: to janedoe@yahoo.com, you will see himself as the message's only recipient. You will also get the email, and she will see that you addressed and sent the email To: You as well.
Check spelling:
While composing and email, you can check the spelling in your email. Just click the Spelling button at the top of the page. If you want to localize your spell check to a specific language, click the arrow next to the Spelling button and select the appropriate language from the drop down menu.
Misspelled words are underlined in red. To view a list of suggested corrections for any misspelled words just click it!
Attach Photos and Files:
Click Attach at the top of the page. In the window that opens, click Browse to find and select the file you want. When you've got it, click Open. Repeat these steps to attach more files, and when you're finished, click Attach Files.

I have created a new category (group) and added contacts to the category. When I try to initiate an email using the category name it indicates that there is a formatting problem with one of the contacts. ...

It's hard to be certain without being able to see the list of contacts, but something small like an additional space or comma could be causing the problem.

An excellent way of verifying if there is a formatting problem or if Yahoo mail is the issue, is to create an email and select the contacts in your group manually from your contacts list. If the email sends this way, then there is a bug with the Yahoo mail group system that you would be able to report. If the email won't send for the same reason, then there is likely a tiny flaw in your formatting.

Best of luck!

How do i unsubscribe to your emails

Instructions
  1. Go to www.yahoo.com. Click on the link to the left of the page titled "Groups."
  2. Sign into Yahoo! with your user name and password.
  3. Select your group page by doing a search for your group when prompted. Or you can simply click on the link titled "Visit Your Group" provided on any email you have received from the group, if you are signed up to receive emails when a member posts. This will take you directly to the group page.
  4. Click on the "Edit Membership" link at the top of the page when you are on the group page.
  5. Click "Leave Group" at the bottom right of the page that comes up after clicking "Edit Membership." After you click this link you will no longer receive email messages when someone posts on the page, you will no longer be listed as a member of this group and the group will no longer be on the list on your My Groups page.

Supposedly we joined Notre Dame Class of 54 yahoo group in 2001. For some reason, we don't get them and I can not send messages. What do I have to do. Our ID was papajohn...

This isn't a router problem, but I'll take it anyway.
The URL for the Yahoogroup in question is
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ND-1954/
Proceed there. Do whatever you need to do to login to Yahoogroups with your Yahoo account (sorry, but only you know what that is and what the password is). Once there, check your membership status with that particular group. If you have changed your email address since you joined, update your Yahoo account and your group membership to reflect that change.
If all of this is too complicated for you, you can always send a direct email to the list owner:
ND-1954-owner@yahoogroups.com
and ask him/her to help you solve your problem.

I want to send certain messages to a special group. How do I indicate this group in my contact list and add to it?

You have to form a new email list or folder and transfer them into it. Whatever email program you are using, just set up a new folder in your contact list and copy/paste the names to it.

AT&T SMS Settings for Unlocked Samsung Blackjack 2

ATT tech support & several web forums confirm that sending a SMS from your computer via an IM, (like Yahoo Messenger, etc.) to a PDA cellular is web based and requires a data plan. However, you can send a text message via email to cellular phones and receive replies. It is easy and just as fast. You have to know the recipients carrier to obtain the proper email address. For instance, to an ATT phone the address is: 10digitphonenumber@txt.att.net Remember that most carriers have a character limit (ATT is 160).

See this link for a complete list of other carriers & email addresses- http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/10/28/send-free-text-message-with-hundreds-of-email-to-sms-gateway-or-internet-web-sms-from-operator/

Signed for ATT.net account, why yahoo now? not getting mails.

ATT.net creates a new Yahoo account for you when you sign up for their service. You now have a Yahoo account that can be accessed with the ladyg.....@att.net as the user and whatever your ATT pass is.

It is possible to merge the new account with the old account:

http://helpme.att.net/article.php?item=485

The article states that you can only merge only during the registration process, but I believe this to be false.

I no longer have ATT, but there was an option to merge a Yahoo account while managing your ATT information (I belive this is accessible from your ATT home page). ATT should be able to assist you with that regardless of whether you merged during the registration process or not.
