Question about Televison & Video
Its High Voltage problem. Check fly back transformer in the unit.it has to be replaced. in the flyback circut it is common for the solder connections to get heated up and become disconnected, so try resoldering any bad solder, if that don't work the components will need to be tested and the flyback high voltage transformer will need to be tested for connectivity(after voltage discharge) if this don't work then the tube or the crt board is failing.but if the flyback is proper then
It is the capacitor. Magnavox installed a power system that is insufficient. All you need to fix the problem is a 2200 watt capacitor that is heat resistant up to 150 degrees. You can get one at www.radioshack.com for 4 bucks.this will help.
thanks.please keep updated.please do rate the solution if helped.thank you for using fixya.

Well some more information would have been an advantage.
When did it occur was it Ok before Wasthere lightning recently ( in the time it was last on and now)
1) Make sure brightness is turned up.
2) Ensure you are actually on a fully tuned channel
3) it hasnt accidently been switched to monitor mode
Those are common occurrences, because someone fiddles with it.
Have to get the obvious out of the way first.
Loss of picture can be many things on the component board, from a bad IC to a capacitor birning out. Whatever, it is related to componentry if not the simple things.
If you are not skilled in electronics to be able to investigate it yourself with the use of a mutimeter to check voltage etc It would be wiser to take it to a repair outlet.
If there is any warranty then use that to have it repaired.
If there was a storm and you can show that there is fusion then a claim on your insurance will at least pay part of the bill.
