Dryer board lights up but when you hit starts it just clicks. Replaced the thermal fuse and the belt is good

Any service codes showing (E1,E2...)? Does the drum turn if you hold the start button in? If so, do not continue hold. There are a couple of safety switches that will keep the dryer from running if they fail. One is the dryer door switch and the other is the belt tensioner switch. If the door switch fails, it will appear as though the door is open, thus will not stay running. If the belt switch fails, the dryer thinks the belt is broken, resulting in a no run condition. If you are handy with a volt/ohm meter, these can be checked. Make sure it is unplugged before removing any panels.

When your dryer is heating up but want turn

Is your dryer door closing all the way? I think it is the start button not connecting to the electrical point it needs to touch to start because if it has gas heating it, that is why you have heat, its an electrical problem for sure..however it could be small problem but fixing elcetrical switches can be dangerous for someone who isnt trained to touch

I have a whirlpool duet gas dryer model ggw9200lw1. when i press the start button it clicks once but wont run.

First, check the door switch. Push and release it by hand and you should hear a click. If no sound, replace the door switch with this part.
If the switch is ok, press the cancel button on the machine. Then do this. press and hold the start button for 2 seconds then release wait 2 seconds and press and hold again for 2 seconds continue this pattern until the dryer goes into test mode. You will see all the lights on the control light up. press each button on the control one at a time 3 times each. (Do not press the cancel button) until the dryer begins to run. When the dryer starts to run then press the cancel button. Then your machine should function properly.

Dryer spinning but not drying!

if it runs with the door open the door switch could be defective, otherwise check your heating element high limit/cycling thermostat switch, then the thermal fuse on the side of the vent housing.and also check the power input for 240 volts a.c. if its an electrically heated element,if inside the terminal strip any terminals burn or break off the element can't heat/if its a gas dryer, check the thermal fuse, the high limit thermostat, the radiant sensor on the burner tube or the gas boost and secondary coils on the gas inlet valve, they get weak or open and close off the gas supply

My dryer does not start when i hit the start button. I have checked power to the dryer, it is good. I have taken my digital multimeter, to check start button, that tested fine. I checked all connections on...

It is probably one of the limit switches inside the dryer most likely the high limit went bad and will not allow the dryer to run or the door switch could have gone bad these are two very good places to start check the door switch first and if that checks out I would check the high limit.

I have a Whirlpool LGR7646JQ0 Gas Dryer. No heat . Things I have already done * Checked vent clogged, Gas supply, all good. * Removed back upper and lower panels removed top and front door section ,cleaned...

If you checked all those other things you probably have a busted glowplug. Its similar to an igniter on a stove just a small element that gets super hot to ignite the gas. You'll need to replace it yourself or get a repairman to come do it. If you do decide to do it yourself make absolutely sure that you do not touch the element itself with your bare hands as the oil from your skin will cause the element to break when it heats up and you will be back to square one. The glow plug is usually located in the bottom left hand corner of the dryer and if you pull the front cover off the machine and remove the air duct in front of it you should see it pretty clearly. Obviously have the gas and electricity disconnected before you work on any gas machine.

My dryer was working just fine and i opened the door to check the clothes and when i tried to turn it back on it wouldn't start. Do they over heat and turn off automatically?

Many dryers have several safety mechanisms to prevent them from overheating and potentially catching fire. It is my experience that these are usually in the electrical circuit with the heating element and, if one fails, would simply not dry your clothes. By not running at all, I would first check the door switch to make sure that the post or tab that presses it has not broken or bent such that the dryer 'thinks' the door is open.

Whirlpool LER5644A No heat and motor wont Turn

Replace the dryer wires.
Put your meter leads into the 4&5 slots.
Make sure the door switch is closed or jumpered.
Push the start button.
If you read no voltage the issue is with the wiring, the timer, or a relay.

Whirlpool dryer LGR7646EQ3. Burner lights before pushing start.

The heat is regulated with a Klixon mounted next to the blower housing near the vent pipe so it can judge the temperature of the air coming out of the drum.Right next to it is a melting type fuse. If the dryer runs and gets too hot the fuse will melt. But the dryer will still run. So if the fuse is good(continuity) and the dryer control(cycle) thermostat is also good then you should have power going to the gas valve assembly when the machine is running unless the timer is in the no heat or wrinkle free/cool down mode. When the gas valve assembly is energized the flame sensor mounted outside the burner chamber detects the heat from the ignitor. When the heat is very intense then the sensor shuts down the ignitor and that frees up the power so that the coils can be fully energised and open the gas gates. The gas comes out and hits the red hot ignitor and you have ignition. It stays on for maybe 2 or 3 minutes or until the control thermostat is satisfied and shuts down power to the gas valve assembly.
