'Put in Cartridge' is displayed on the window of my Canon MP110

Hi,

I put in a new black ink cartridge last week and was working away on my printer. Today I tried to use it and the alarm button was on and in the display window it says to 'put in cartridge'. I opened the printer and made sure the cartridge had not got loose. I have also tried to turn the printer off, unplug from the desktop and reconnected it but I am still having the same problem. I even went out and bought another cartridge to see if this would help, but it didn't. Can anyone help me?

If it says cartridge not installed you need a new printhead. QY6-0054-000 around $50.00

Testimonial: "Great I will try that. Many thanks."

Hello,

Please follow below instruction. Otherwise, visit this link. Link
We hope we have provided you a solution to your problem.

Thank you.

The Canon Pixma Mp160 is an all-in-one printer, scannermag-glass_10x10.gif and fax machine. Replacing the cartridge in the printer requires little effort. Make sure to use the correct replacement cartridges for your MP160; installing the wrong cartridge type could prevent your printer from working or cause it to fail. Use caution to prevent ink spilling or dripping on you.

Step 1 Identify the cartridge that requires replacement. Press the "Copy" button to display the ink level. "BLK" indicates your black ink cartridge; "COL" indicates your color cartridge. If the display is only one bar (or none), then the cartridge should be replaced.

Step 2 Open the top compartment (scan lid) on your Canon printer. Pull back the compartment support legs to hold it open.

Step 3 Put on gloves, and then push the cartridge down to unlock it. Pull it toward you to remove it from the printer.

Step 4 Remove the tape strip from the replacement ink cartridge. Insert the new ink cartridge (black on the left, color on the right) at an angle, with the gold circuit facing down and towards the front of the printer. Push the cartridge up to lock it in place.

Step 5 Repeat the process if you are replacing multiple cartridges. Close the scan lid when you are finished. If the "Low Ink" warning does not go away, then turn the printer off, wait a few minutes and turn it on again.

Hi, I just got a Cannon369 MP360 the black ink is empty, but there is color ink in it. It will not print anything. Do I have to replace the Black to get color in to work??? Since it's 2nd hand I don't want...

With this type of printer you need to have a full black cartridge to print black and white. The new Canon BCI-24 black cartridge from Staples is only $8.29. These cartridges are even cheaper from refillers. I recommend Cartridge World or Office Depot for printer cartridge refills.

Ink Cartridge

There can be problems with the cartridge itself...check the cartridge number with the original cartridge (ex :- 27)...

You can try
# wipe the cartridge circuit board with a dry cloth (can have dirt)

Empty ink error message

Hi, its sad to say but the printer sounds that needed to be send to the nearest service center in your area. You already reseat & replace the ink cartridge and issue still present. Please call your printer manufacturer so that they can give you more options aside from sending it to service center. Thank you so much,
