Question about Washing Machines

1 Answer

I have a Kenmore 80 Series washer that started leaking just a little a few weeks ago. Checked all the exterior hoses and they are fine. Today it leaked worse. It appears to be coming from the front not the back of the machine.

You have a hole in the water pump.
You need to remove the control panel.
Locate two gold clips, one on each side of the unit.
Remove clips, open the lid and pull the cabinet toward you. Water pump is right in front at the bottom.

My Kenmore 800 series washer leaks from under the front left during the spin cycle. I looked behind it and checked the connections but all seems fine in that area. What could be causing this?

Same problem! Flooded the laundry room and about 1/4 of the basement. Happens randomly, not every load. Checked all hoses, they are snug and don't appear to be leaking at all. During the wash cycle it you can hear it spraying water inside the washer and the floor starts flooding. I bought the washer Sept. 19, 2009 and have had this problem for about 5 weeks now. Sears refuses to do anything about it, because it's no longer under warranty.
