Question about Dell Dimension 8300 PC Desktop
I have a home studio . I'm using cakewalk sonar with windows xp pro on a dell dimension 8300 for recording what tweaks or settings do I need to change to get best results
Records at the highest bit-rate you can (320 is the best for CD audio), keep the gain at a medium setting (too high creates clipping, too low will drive you crazy with volume), and try to set at minimum dual channel (stereo). You may have pre-set options for this, most are dependant on what you want to output.
If size-of-file is an issue, simply decrease the bitrate, but leave all the other settings the same!
Hope this helps!
