There should be no difference other than the core clock. They should be the same socket type.

ASUS CUSI-M ACPI BIOS Revision 1007 run very slow when i wana use 1024 by 768 pixel.how i can solve this problem.my processor speed is 700 MHz. 2.is it possible AMD 1.3 processor connect with this...

Getting you're system to display 1024 x 768 resolution depends on the graphics card. If you’re using the onboard VGA you will have poor display.
Suggest you use a PCI (White slot) graphics card with its own memory onboard. You will also need to make a bios setting change so the system boots to the PCI card and not the VGA.
Asus no longer provides support for this MB including drivers and bios.
You're board also supports slot A (For AMD), processors.
Only Intel Celeron and Intel Pentium III. Socket 370
see link provided;
http://www.cpu-upgrade.com/mb-ASUS/CUSI-M.html
Max CPU supported (With out over clocking);
http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/Celeron/Intel-Celeron%201100%20-%20RB80526RY005128%20(BX80526F1100128).html
In order to run this CPU you would need to update the bios to rev 1009. You'll find rev 1009 at the next link; http://www.userdrivers.com/BIOS/Asus-CUSI-M-BIOS-1009-With-LAN/
From what I've read it is possible to Get an AMD slot A CPU into a socket 370 MB. (Don't hold me to this though. This is a first for an old dog.
Any one of these PCI graphics cards should function on you're MB; http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/Category/guidedSearch.asp?CatId=28&sel=Detail;55_158_2872_2872

Good luck!

Hi all i have a little question about CPU IN A9RP

if it will fit in the cpu slot, you can. But beware all chips have different number of prongs and only the chipsets that fit the number your slot has labeled on it. You have to some reasearch.

Can I use Pentium 4, frequency 3.0 GHz with Asus P4B?

Asus support says the fastest CPU you can use in that MB is a P4 2.6 GHz or a Celeron 2.8 GHz.

For the P4 you need BIOS ver. 1011 and for the Celeron you need ver. 1013.004.

Here is a link to the entire list:

C2D?

Hi mickie,
I looked at the manual & did not see support for C2D. So I went to Asus & checked the CPU's supported. (No c2d).
To see the CPU's supported go to this Asus web site for you're P5VDC-MX mother board. Click on this link;
http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?modelname=P5VDC-MX&SLanguage=en-us
Look to the left of the page. Click on the link, (CPU Support). Asus will open the current CPU's supported for the motherboard.
Lets say you are looking at this CPU;
Celeron D 346 (3.06 GHz, 533 FSB, LGA775)E0,EM64T).
Look to the right where you'll see "GO". All you need to do too support that CPU is download the proper bios file & bios utility for that CPU.
Where did you see support for C2D in the P5VDC-MX manual?
Page number please? I miss many things here at fixya.....

Removing keyboard for ASUS A9rp

There are three little clips at the very top of the keyboard itself, if you lightly push them in starting at one side while very lightly prying on the keyboard you can lift it out and then just unhook the ribbon cable. That's it, really simple actually!!!

P5rd1 vm

The P5rd1 motherboard supports celeron's using a LGA775 socket. You can use a 2.0 celeron but you need to get the correct one such as:

Intel 440 Celeron 2.0ghz box cpu , 65nm conroe-L , Lga775 , 800mhz fsb - 64k L1+ 512k L2 cache

good luck!
