Question about Sansui VRDVD5000 DVD Recorder/VCR
I have a vrdvd5000 Sansui recorder that I have been copying vhs family home movies to dvd's. I need to mass record them for family members. When I put them in my computer anything copied from this recorder is not seen. been working on this problem for two years. i have bought every software possible, a new computer, and now am looking at getting a new recorder. what do you suggest
I would just get a USB video capture device. This will connect to the USB port on your computer and will connect to the video and audio out on your VCR. Basically you will be recording your VHS tape with your computer so it will be on your computer in the proper format. This will eliminate the frustration you have been having with unrecognizable formats. These devices come with there own software and its pretty simply to use. I also see that the price has come down on these devices. I bought one a year ago and was around $ 70. Now you can find one for around $ 20. Here is a link which has a bunch of them for sale. http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_e?url=search-alias%3Delectronics&field-keywords=usb+video&x=15&y=22
I hope I have been of some help.
