Re: monitor brand

Try to check the small cable at the back of your monitor if it is connected at the back of your pc, basically the audio port at the back of your pc have 3 same holes mostly the middle hole is the audio port, if you have more than 3 holes try guessing while your playin music.make sure the jack fits, if the sound appear it means thats the right port for that.

How do I fix my pc beep tone no monitor

You have a PC connected to a monitor.
Now the PC is beeping and there is no display at your monitor

PC beeping most likely can be of the RAM.

1) Switch OFF PC and Main Switch
2) Give the motherboard to discharge (5 minutes)
3) Use a anti-static wrist strip
4) Remove RAM
a) Do not touch the connections of the ram with bare hands
b) Use compress air spray in short blasts to clean the connections and RAM slots
c) Make sure this is done in a well lighted environment. You can trace the dust and remove it with an anti-static cloth.
5) Put RAM inside the slots
6) Switch ON

If above fails
1) Try replacing either your RAMs or PC with a friend's good working conditions.

Please note, since you are removing your RAMs, anything and everything can happen. So be careful and hope for the best.

Another way
Get your hard drive into your friends working PC as a secondary and transfer the data into an external hdd. This way your data is saved.

What is a gaming pc?

This question is certainly dated, but it is one frequently asked so I figure at least someone should field it at some point. My guess is that it often goes unanswered for a variety of reasons.

Put simply, no there is no difference between the two. They each require a CPU, RAM, a hard disk, motherboard, interface (mouse, keyboard, etc.), a power supply, and a monitor.

To the gamer, there is an enormous variance between the two. A PC is what people use for surfing the web, processing office documents for work or school, and other relatively low demand tasks. A gaming rig is, again, comprised of the same guts, but those innards are built for more intense performance demands that many games demand. The cost involved in purchasing or building a PC can range from a slightly higher price tag to an exponential increase. Those increases are based largely on performance and functionality, but like any other products can also be based in large part upon brand name.

No signal to monitor

Change video resolution through video card settings not through windows settings. Windows settings can be changed by software to a video resolution not compatible with monitor. Common issue with TV used as monitor or low end flat screen don't have as many resolution options as pc or video card capable of displaying.accassing video card settings is specic to which brand you have but won't look like rt click screen settings video/ windows settings

System starts up but goes to blank screen

This may happen due to several reasons. First, check if the power supply line to the monitor is loose at any of the two ends. If yes, tighten it. As a simple measure, keep that blank screen and tighten the codes to see if it works. If that is not the case, switch off your system and UNPLUG it. Then open up your CPU and clean all those dusts present there. Sometimes this problem can occur due to moisture present there. So wipe everything with dry cloth. CAUTION: DO NOT USE COTTON. USE ONLY A DRY CLOTH. Before closing down the CPU, take out the RAM(s), wipe it's tip with CLEAN COTTON slightly dipped in spirit (After Shave Lotion will do). Then put back the RAM(s) in position. This is not only to clean it, but also to make it a bit more seated. Now start up your system to check if it is OK. If none of this works, try re-installing the OS. This is a last measure and it can fix your problem, mostly.

My resolution is very low and I am unable to adjust. I have brand new monitor . Verified working great. Was told video driver could be corrupted? was great allday then just went crazy.

Try reinstalling the video card if you have the drivers from the control panel. It will be in System then Device Manager. Look for Display Manager and right click then choose update driver and follow the prompts.
