After changing ink cartridge incoming faxes won't print. Does something have to be reset?

Some machines recognize you changed the ink cartridge and some do not. If you shut it down and restart it, this usually helps it reset.

Printer will print color test pattern but will not print characters

MY kodak 9200 did the same thing,I resolved the peoblem by removing the ink cartridges, then removed the ink cartridge holder by slightly raising the metal tab on top and pulling the holder forward and up at the same time, then I removed the plastic barrier behind the holder, then re-install the holder in and under the metal tab,let it click twice the second click was where the barrier used to click, this will put more downward pressure on the printer head, mine works just fine now,I threw away the barrier,be careful not to break the metal tab.

Color not printing

Ensure the cartridge(s) are fully seated and locked down. Replace the color cartridge with a Brother Original cartridge. If the problem went away, your old cartridge is either empty or, the printer does not recognize your recycled cartridge. The only other possibility is a clogged print head. You can try to clear it yourself or, take it to your favorite repair shop.

Kodak esp 7 all-in-one printer. I have just replaced the color ink cartridge. The machine keeps telling me to reinstall the printhead and ink cartridges. I have done this over 5 times. It still will not...

I have had the same issue - only bought my ESP7 last month - have been on the chat support with Kodak in US and they advise that the print head will need replacing but they couldnt send one from US and advised me to ring the 0870 Kodak support number in UK - this is a premium line and lucky I took out an instant replacement policy when I bought it so I am off to PC world to get another! Good luck with yours - suggest you phone Kodak and ask for a print head replacement which should be free if you have had the printer less than 12 months - make sure you have the serial number of the printer with you when you phone. Good luck!

PRINTER (not web camera!) HP Deskjet 712c Printer began printing mostly blackPrinter began printing mostly black & magenta so I replaced the color cartridge. Color did not improve and then black...

First run the CLEAN HEADS and see if that helps. If you don't use your printer at least once a week the Print Heads get dried out and will not allow the ink to pass through to the paper.
Go to control Panel and click on Printess. Then when the window comes up, CLICK on Properties TAB and then in the next window, CLICK on CLEANING.
You may have to replace your PRINT HEAD if that doesn't work.
Hope this is of some help. Bud
