You dont say what you want to delete, normally put your device in the cradle provided and operate it from your pc/laptop.

After attempting to update my tomtom910 I have not been able to get beyond starting up and it switching itself off after a couple of mins when fully charged

If you updated the operating system, and you are having this problem then something went wrong with the update. Hope you made a backup before you updated. If you did not, connect your 910 to the pc and then go to "My Computer" and open the drive for your 910. Delete "ttsystem". Now open TomTom Home and let TomTom Home install the operating system for your 910.

you must have it set up for the fastest route.... It does not know what you are driving or how wide it is.. you may have to reset it to only go on major highways.

One can only presume you have not yet been fully schooled in GPS navigation, and to this i say - there is no better method then to start with the good old user manual.

I have taken the liberty of looking up the PDF link for you.

  • This is the GO 910 User Manual in PDF (online version)
http://download.tomtom.com/open/manuals/TomTom_GO_US.pdf

  • TomTom free software updates, product manuals and installation posters which you can either read online or download.
