Top tray very insecure - Zanussi DW908 dishwasher

I have a problem whereby the top tray keeps coming off of its runners. Either the wheels fixed to the side of the dishwasher fall off or the tray pulls out of the runners. In either event the tray drops down. This is a very frequent occurrence. There seems to be a lot of loose play where the wheels push on to the fixings in the dishwasher side.

I have the same problem. The little wheels have one flange larger than the other so I try to put the larger side closer to the side of the dishwasher, don't know if that helps or not. I also noticed the plastic is all rough and pitted, I wonder if you can get replacement wheels, whether they would stay on any better? Either way, mine has been doing ok with three runners for a while, I just retrieved two from the bottom of the machine, have no idea where the other three went!

I have solved my problem by taking the screws out which hold the wheels on and putting a small washer underneath the head. The washer needs to be exactly the right size.

the small wheel has somehow come out of track causing the top tray to become lob sided an not able to be pulled out fully

There's a very easy solution, which took me a few months to work out! Take the wheels off, lay them with the large side on the table. If you look through the hole, there's a small lip with a gap between it and the wheel. Use a knife or sharp implement to make the gap a bit bigger by pushing the lip slightly to the middle of the hole. Put the wheels back on with the large end towards the wall of the dishwasher. You will hear the wheels click in. Repeat if it ever happens again!

Top tray wheels keep falling off

I feel for you! I have been tortured by the blasted wheels falling off every time I go to put something into the dishwasher, or want to empty it. To add to it all, this part is no longer available to replace, which I need to do as one of the clips finally snapped off. It is a highly frustrating design flaw in this machine.

I have a dw908 which is not filling with water

Check it is draining properly, if it is then the water level sensor is blocked, usually a small pipe running from the sump up the side of the machine to an air pressure switch, often gets blocked where it joins the plastic sump.

Electrolux dishwasher wont lock but still runs, water sprays out of the door

check that the top basket wheels are not broken a rogue wheel in the runner can stop you pushing the top basket in. this stops you closing the door. also that the retainers on the end of the runners are in the right position and not jamming the door action. failing that you will need a new door lock..

Dishwasher.not cleaning top tray

Make sure your upper fan is turning manually. then check your water pump. to make sure it's pushing water up there. Also make sure you're not overloading the bottom where the rotating fins can't get around.
