Question about Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W50 Digital Camera
How do i set the camera to take a pic automatically, after a delay?

take your memory stick out of your camera and theres this sliding thing on the back...slide it so that its not on the lock side? does that make any sense? well..good luck!

Its due to slow shutter speed setting.
If you want to take moving object picture, set high speed shutter, there would an icon of golf stick that is for moving object pictures.

I had exactly same issue with mine w17 and tried so many ways to fix this.
Was even ready to buy some new camera instead of this Sony dsc w-17 but
then found a way of resetting camera in such way: powerdown and take
batteries out. Then hold "power" button for 30 seconds, release and
repeat couple of times. It helped
Also if it won't work try contacting Sony online chat support - they seem to be helpful.

I bought a "for parts" dscw50 off ebay & unscrewed the side panels; this allowed me to remove the whole top panel (entire silver piece) & exhange it with the one on my own camera which I had broken the shutter button off of. Works fine now.
