Question about Computers & Internet
My laptop will not turn on. Press button, blue light and fan come on. Hard drive light does not come on. If I play whith the power adapter sometimes it trips the hard drive and it boots up. Right now it is dead. Help.
How about if you boot with just the battery in? Does the battery charge? Possible solution include: remove and replace memory chips to make sure they are seated correctly. Check with a known good power supply. Almost sounds like a motherboard issue to me. Plenty of laptop problems are related to bad solder joints on the motherboard, unless you or someone you know can open it up and find a bad joint the only solution is mother board replacement. Try reseating the memory first.
