The orange light on my router keeps going out and then I loose my inernet connection. Is this a sign of the router going bad?

It looks like the orange light says M1 or M2 it is not power. The whole thing shuts down and then restarts ion it's own and then the orange light stays out.

Bought a new router this weekend. What a difference! If anyone else has this problem, just buy a new one. They are cheap and much faster than those purchased just a few years ago!

Is this the WAN light you are talking about or the power light?
The WAN light blinks to show you connection with your client computers. Its ok.
If its the power light then un plug router completly and plug it back in check if does the same thing again? If yes then some hardware issue exist and the router needs to be replaced.
Hope that helped!

Are you using the power adapter that came with this router? If yes then the router should stay on. Seems like the router is crashing. Could you please let me know the numbers from your router and make please.

Here is the website page where there exist two versions of this router: Install any firmwares according to your version. Since the router is starting again and again it seems like hardware is failing please contact there technical support, they are pretty good even in exchanging routers if they found your router is not working fine.
