Fdb4315lfc2 dishwasher keeps filling up

just seems to be on the rinse cycle once i'd cleaned up all the water started the cycle again opened the door and the cycle stopped but the water kept flooding in. lifted the float switch expecting this shut the flow off but didn't. can anyone help?

relay switch is sticking in the open position... the float mechanism tells the unit when to stop pumping water out...
