Question about Electrolux EL5010A Bagged Upright Vacuum
This is easy and hard. If only two wires connect to the switch, cleaning up the connectors and replacing damaged items should fix it. Don't do anything unless the unit is unplugged. Try this first: connect the two wires together and tape them up. Plug in the unit. If it starts, make your repairs. If not, unplug immediately. The switch fried for a reason. Most vacuums do not use electronic components...just a standard brush style motor. If the motor is bad, it may not be worth replacing it. Let me know what the test result is and we'll further.
