Question about Keyboards & Mice
Touchpad stopped working .... I tried reloading drivers, system restore ... in Device Manager I get (code 24) so the computer knows there is a problem .... I'm at a loss
Go to Start -> Control Panel -> System -> Hardware tab -> Click "Device Manager" -> Find the item called Mice and pointing devices and click the + sign.
If synaptics is listed right click and select Uninstall.
After that completes go to the top of the Device Manager and select Action -> Scan for hardware changes...it should find the device and attempt to reinstall it and the driver.
Thanks for using FixYa - If you

At the top of your keyboard you will find some illuminated icons.
Find the one that looks like a finger on a touchpad and run
your finger over it. This activates or deactivates the touchpad.

if the driver is OK and still the buttons are still not working, it must be a hardware problem. you can try to call your manufacturer for option in replacing the touch pad on your computer
