I cannot find the initial setup tab within the menu of the vx8300! My phone is answering quick and I want to change the dtmf to long but this isn't anywhere to be found. It's almost like they hid the intial setup tab on this phone. On my wife's razr it's right after call settings but I swear it's not on the LG. Is there any other way to make my phone ring longer? HELP!!!

I apologize, this is obviously a question by me, not a solution and it's posted in the wrong spot.

Vibration only vibrates once

You will have to change the ringer under sound settings to "Vibrate and Ring", it is currently set on "Vibrate Then Ring".

Hope this helps,
Simon.

My house phone rings when someone calls but we can't hear it ring nor can we get a dial tone to call out

The ringing you hear when you dial your phone number is not actually your phone ringing but a machine at the phone company designed to give you something to listen to while they connect your call. I would say that your phone number is working, just not at your house. You need to call repair to trace your phone line and get it connected properly. Good luck

Vx8300 LCD cracked, cant make, recieve calls

without the screen you wont know if the phone is locked or not make sure the phone is switched on then try ringing it from a nother phone if it rings you will need to replace the screen these can be easily brought from most smaller phone shops and they will fit it for you if it dont ring the the board is probably warped if this is the case im sorry to say that you will need to replace the whole handset try ringing your no first then try answering the phone if you can do this then replace the screen if not it is not woth bothering with as it would cost to much to replace the board hope this is some help to you..................

Incoming caller ring

Here is the link to the user manual if you need it. http://www.motorola.com/Hellomoto/Master%20Lists/Product%20Manuals/Static%20Files/CA-EN/30277_E815EnglishUserGuide.pdf Unfortunately what callers hear is dependent on the phone they are calling from, not on your phone. You could concievably send them a mutimedia message when they call, but there is no way to automate this, and it would probably be too much trouble and expense to bother. Wait a year or two, and it may well be that manufacturers start including this feature - it would require a slight modification of the communications protocols on the cell networks, but it probably would be popular. Good idea. Hope this helps :)
