Water (cleaning solution) is gravity fed to the floor cleaning brushes, but the attachment hose is fed from a small pump. If it only leaks when turned on and operating, check the pump for leaks at the pump itself or the connecting hoses.

on the attachment where you put the attachment remove the lid, then remove the back panal, and slide the suction thing down not much pressure, re apply the lid then put back in vacuum, turn on and there you go...

With this style of machine there are hoses, or connections to transfer the cleaning solution. these can fail after some time. Stop using the machine, leaking fluid onto the internal parts can become a electricution/fire hazard. take the unit to a service center for repair.
