Pink and green patches on screen

there is a long green area on one side and a long pink area on other side of screen, not on all programmes though, this has only happened since we installed a humax freesat box, any ideas ?

The thin red, green, or yellow/brown line you see running through your LCD is a line of dead pixels. To fix this problem, you will have to get your monitor serviced or, if the monitor is new, replaced.
