I have just purchased an LG Viewty from T-Mobile and I am having trouble sending text messages. I can receive them but not send them. For some reason there is not a number stored in the text message centre box but when I enter the number in there (given to me by T-Mobile) for some reason it doesn't store it and says Failed. This is now my 3rd phone from T-Mobile and no one seems to know why this problem is occuring.
Please can you help me,

for sending text messages :
1. call to your network operator customer care 2. request the message center number... 3.note it down 4. go to message settings>message center number 5. insert the number which is noted by you and save it
this solves your messaging problem ... Good luck
The best thing I can do is provide you the user manual and let you read thhat and it should give you a clear idea on wether you can do this; as a guess though you should be able to send multiple text messages to all of your contact lists that are stored within your phones' directory. I know for a definite that you can do this on the Samsung Tocco HGH450; but as far as your model goes, I cannot be sure. What makes me think that you can though, is the fact your mobile phone is newer than my Tocco.
I hope that this is the fixya for you and I look forward to hearing your result in the near future.
I have read the reviews and it appears to me that this handset does allow multiple contacting; quite wether this is for voice or SMS is unclear, but all the same itdoes allow a facility to perform multi contacting
hi there, call the customer service of your service provider ( AT&T,Vodafone,Verizon etc)....they will set up message center number on your phone , the one that you have might be incorrect...your mobile operator will send you sim updates that will refresh the settings ....and then you will get the text message options cheers
On every phone there are settings that can stop you sending texts. However all phones should still receive texts even if all the settings were changed. As the text message is directed to you mobile number you should still be receiving?
When you compose your text and select contact does the phone move them to the out/sent box?
Settings to check for sending are your 'message centre number' (your network provider can supply and they are normally different for pay monthly and pay & go) 'Message sent as' should be 'text' (not fax or email etc).
Text problems are common where people change or delete digits from the message centre number by mistake.
If you cannot receive texts i would recommend speaking to your provider for help as it may be your account details at their end? (beyond your control). Hope that helps?
hi, in this mobile, there is an option in message settings, where you need to change the default option selected as send multiple messages as mms to send them as multiple sms's. then it will be normal.
go into call settings then common settings then call reject. I have given my unwanted number a group name and then blocked that group! Hope it works. There is also a service security thing in messaging which lets you set up trusted and untrusted lists. I am trying this also.
