DVD failure (by 3 users)

Put a disk in the DVD reader. Nothing happens. The disk does not play. I wanted to pull the disk but the drawer won't open All else works fine. Any great thoughts on the subject. Is there s reset any where for the dvd reader?

Same problem plus now neither my remote nor the buttons on the tv work (it wont even turn off, I have to unplug it from the wall). Is there a fuse or something that has blown?
