Question about Medion MD-1704 PC Desktop

Computerwill not start

Hi, My Medion 1704 is over 4 yrs old, and has worked great (except for software problems). Now I get a black screen on monitor and blue light in on/off switch just flickers. Holding button in does nothing. Any idea what might be causing this?

I have a Dell Dimension 2350 that I am now using temporarily, but it has only 128 memory, and i would like to switch the 512 memory from the Medion to the Dell. Are they compatible? Also, how can I remove memory cards from Medion without damaging them? They wont come out just by pulling, and I don't want to damage them. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

If you can't even access the bios, the first thing i'd do is to try and reload it. open your computer, find your motherboard, and find the little cmos switch.change it's position, wait a for 30 secs, the flip it back in the previous position. if your computer still won't start, then your motherboard is prolly faulty and you need to get a new one.

your ram can be removed by first pressing down the little switches on either side of the thingy that holds the ram, and then gently removing it. when you put in the new ram, make sure your pc is placed so that you're putting the ram in from above. then just gently squeeze it in and flip the switches back. you should hear a click.

I have a Dell 1704 FPVt monitor I use it in conjunction with an touch board with a monitor split cable. when I plug the team board in the dell monitor goes blank. It doesn't do this with the old m

Isolate the problem per above. Eliminate the monitor, split cable and software settings so that each, individually work. Then eliminate team board - do you have a spare?
It could mean sharing the monitor signal means weakens it so that one can display and the other does not work. Prove it with a different source computer. Don't know if buffer devices exist or how to increase input sensitivity.

Dell 1704 monitor goes to black screen after one

Hi my name is Rain.
Ok so that im clear on the problem. your monitor will come on but in a matter of seconds it goes to a black screen?
If this is the problem. The answers you seek will most likely
be in your video card.
Try this test:
  • Unplug monitor from the computer.
  • Turn on monitor .
  • Look for monitor self test screen.
If you see the monitors self test screen then your problem indeed is
the video card . You will need to replace the video card inside of the computer.

I can't find drivers for my medion md-1704 computer

hi there, to help you, you will more than likely need to contact the company to get the drivers for your computer, the disk the company sends you will have the configuration for all components and hardware that comes with it, ususally, the cost is like 20...for the recovery disk and or restore disks.......this would be alot safer since you don't know from whom the drivers will be downloaded, or if it will be for others to control your computer without your ok, .....good luck....shia

Dell 1704 FPTt monitor goes black after about 20 min

Go to Start, Control Panel, Power Options and change your monitor setting to never turn off. If you do leave your monitor on all the time then you should set up a screen saver.
