Problems with RCU600M universal remote

I have programmed my tv with the RCU600M universal remote. It will turn the TV off and on, but it will not work to give me Video Input 1 or 2. My tv had to be set to Video 1 for the converter box to work. Now nothing works other than changing channels, volume, etc.
