Computer Crashing-seems to be drivers or RAM

Intel q6600 4GB RAM 512 Vidio. I've had nothing but problems. Freezing, reboot, shutdown and unstable. I ran the Windows RAM check--seemed to be okay-Couldn't get the Realteck sound to work, installed a Soundblaster--On the third reinstall of Windows XP SP2, I did not select to install the sound drivers. I'm still having these same problems. I'm not very happy with this purchase. I've been building PC's for over 15 years, and I'm at a loss as to why your product isn't working.

Re: Computer Crashing-seems to be drivers or RAM

It sounds like you have one of three problems that it could be, first you may not have the proper drivers for the chip set. second you could have a bad CPU, or a bad or cracked mother board. i have gotten mother boards that were cracked in shipping and caused the same problems. if you have checked these let me know it will give me further info to work with. also I have found that cdertain sound blaster programs are not compatible with XP.

hi Mr. David , One of the software of your PC is not working good , although we are using anti virus for protection still other software are affected , save your file to drive D or on a flash drive and re-install windows , There are two partitions Drive C where windows are being installed and Drive D are for back ups and important files to save . don't forget to install USB SECURITY DEVICE to protect you on virus on any flash Drives etch.

Good Luck;

I have a Dell GX620 that I rescycled. It wouldn't power up so I put in a different power source and put in 1 - 512 stick of memory. It then started up and I reformatted the hard drive and re-installed...

just leave in one of the new 1gb stick of memory
if stable memory was the issue so add the back one at a time each time shut down install turn on test
if still unstable coould be the hard drive

Hi j_ortiz568,

Blue Screens usually happen when there's a memory dump which means that your PC's doing something that it shouldn't be doing. The most likely cause is that you have a computer virus affecting your PC.

Try starting your PC on safe mode and running any anti-virus software you may have. You could also try reformatting the computer, but beware of the fact that if any data you try to save may be inffected or infect the devide you'll be using to move the data.

Hope this helped.

Sli pc keeps crashing

Ok, here's the deal. the total power grab from the cards total is 800 watts. your power supply can only send 400watts max to the cards. everything should be ok if only one card is used but, if you enable the second card, you system will become unstable and it will crahs(shutdown). i recommend upgrading to a power supply that can handle this load. You can run one card but, not two at this time. you will need a power supply that is in the 800- 1000 watt range. this will fix this issue.

Memory detected/Memory failure on Dell Dimension PC

So basically the computer does not start. Because I am not sure that is what you are saying.

I think from my understanding it is an issue with vista rather than with the computer. Somehow the new driver has put your computer in sleep mode. The computer of friend of mine starts by itself.

Another I want to say that the memory cards are fragile they can go bad. The way you touch them it is important.
