My d-link des-1024d fast ethernet switch is hanging problam

My First option is to restore the switch to factory default once and then reconfigure the switch.

What is the IOS running on the DES-1024D ?
Are you getting any error message in the log when the switch is hanging. ( through console connection).

Second Option is to upgrade the IOS to a recent one.

My switch used to work fine,D-link DES 1024D

Hello,
I suggest you reconfigure you network. Maybe your configuration authorizes only one IP adress on the network.

Try to reset your router to defaults to see if that solve your problem. After that you will have to reconfigure the router.

Hope it helps.

Configuration

The DES-3526 has a lot of features and it would be quite hard to teach you everything through FixYa.

I suggest you start by carefully reading the manual. Everything is very well documented:
ftp://ftp.dlink.com/Switch/des3526/Manual/des3526_Manual_500b27.zip

Then, once you have learned more about it, if you still have problems, feel free to write back and we will help you.

Help no connection

Check the cabling. Could possibly be a broken pair in the cable. Make sure all ends are not damaged.
