Take to a servicer and have them check the convergence Ic's and resistors then converg the set, auto convergence won't work if you have a defective parts, replace them first.

How do i manully converge 50" Hitachi projection

You have to get into whats called DCAM mode to manually converge the set if you don't see a menu option for convergence. Goto the site - they have a DCAM article on their tips page.

The screen on my panasonic is warped towards the middle from the bottom of the screen. i also cant converge the green lamp as its colour is outta whack. the blue and red will converge though

You probably want to replace both IC's and possibly a few low value resistors gouped close to each IC on the aluminum heat sinks. The IC's wil have STK392-1xx written on them. Replace with either stk392-150 or 180's.

How do I aling colors: the red and blue colors are not align making the tv look distorted.

On my Hitachi there's a convergence button on the front panel. Press that button which will give you red & blue lines. You have to use your remote to converge (align) those lines to correct the picture. If the lines won't converge I've been told it could be a bad convergence IC & tech is needed to fix...could be approx $300 to fix.

Words are doubled red borders???

Just to clarify, it sounds like what you are saying is that the image appears to duplicate in either red or blue along the edges of the image (especially white lettering and probably increasing along the boarder of the TV). This is resolved by converging your TV. Convergence will drift normally on large screen projection TV's over time or through moving them. The Hitachi 57f500a has a feature called "Magic Focus" (pg 36 in your manual) which will auto converge the image. If the auto converge feature doesn't work, on page 37 in your manual, it explains how to converge manually. If you do not have the manual, I have the image of the pages below. If for some reason this doesn't work, please provide additional info and detailed prior to rating the help.
