It seems like you've tried several troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue, but the problem persists. A common cause of black pages with a laser printer is a faulty toner cartridge, but since you've tried replacing it, it's unlikely that's the issue. Another possibility is a problem with the imaging drum or the transfer roller, both of which can cause black pages. You may also want to check the toner supply system, including the toner level sensor, for any clogs or blockages that may be causing the problem. If these steps don't resolve the issue, it may be necessary to seek further assistance from a professional repair service
The error message "replace toner" indicates that the printer's toner cartridge needs to be replaced. However, since you mentioned that you already replaced it with a new one, there may be a few reasons why the error message is still appearing:
The toner cartridge may be defective. Even though it is new, it may have a defect that is preventing it from being recognized by the printer. Try replacing it with a different toner cartridge.
The toner cartridge may not be compatible with your printer. If you are using a non-genuine toner cartridge, it may not be compatible with your printer. Try using a genuine Kyocera toner cartridge.
The toner sensor or other hardware may be malfunctioning. In some cases, the error message may be caused by a malfunctioning toner sensor or other hardware issue. In this case, you may need to contact a Kyocera service technician for further assistance.
Checking the toner cartridge Image formation defects are many times the result of problems in the toner cartridge. If there is any doubt, always replace the toner cartridge before troubleshooting image defects. Use the following checklist to make sure that the toner cartridge is still operable. " Make sure that the toner cartridge is seated properly. " Inspect the toner cartridge for toner level. " Check the expiration date stamped on the toner cartridge box. " Check the toner cartridge to see if it has been disassembled or refilled. " Inspect the toner cartridge to see if toner is leaking through worn seals. " Check the surface of the photosensitive drum in the cartridge to see if it has been damaged or scratched. Touching the drum contaminates the photosensitive surface and can cause spotting and image defects. " Blurred areas on printed pages indicate that the photosensitive drum in the cartridge has been overexposed to light. Because overexposure to light causes permanent damage to the photosensitive drum, the cartridge should be replaced. NoteA toner cartridge weighs approximately 863 grams (30.5 oz) when it is full, approximately 766 grams (27.0 oz) when it first fades, and approximately 742 grams (26.2 oz) when it is empty. To redistribute toner in the cartridge Before installing a new cartridge or when toner begins to run low, redistribute the toner by rotating the cartridge back and forth five or six times.
This is caused by a damaged drum. The drum is the long metal cylinder inside the toner cartridge. You will have to replace the hold cartridge. You should be able to flip a plastic cover on the toner and see the drum. If it has black toner lines then it usually means the drum is scratched and there for toner fills the scratch and produces lines.
Replace the print cartridge (toner cartridge) and the lines should go away.
this error can be caused by a paper jam, or a little piece of paper in the toner area, Take the cartridge out and use a flashlight to check in the sides looking for paper. Other reason is that sometimes the sensor that detect the toner is out of place and in that case you can try to power cycle with the toner out before you install it again. Good luck
Great you changed the toner cartridges but you may also need to do the following as well.
Imaging drum is low
Light patternDescription
The imaging-drum light is on. The printer continues to print without any action required until the imaging drum is empty.
Action
Order a new imaging drum.
Have a good day
There is a toner sensor in this printer that shoots a beam of light through the toner cartridge. As long as the toner is full and blocks the light, it sees it as being full. If it were the sensor, it would tell you this for all the toners, though. The printer also calculates how much toner may have been used and gives warnings based on that. It could be that this isn't getting reset after you change toner. You can reset the toner gage by going into the reset menu and selecting "New xxxx cartridge" and changing it to YES.
If this IS a CLP-510, first make an information confirmation print.
Press MENU, then press ENTER, and ENTER again.
Look at the counter for the imaging unit, is it a low count confirming that you have indeed replaced it ?
If not you will need to reset the counter.
Check the counters for the toner cartridges, and check the capacity of the cartridge. On a CLP-510 the image counter for the toner is held on the chip on the cartridge (which also identifies the capacity of the cartridge).
There have been some faulty (oiginal Samsung chips), and of course re-manufactured cartridge chips could fail (many re-manufacturers don' test their cartridges before dispatch, they don't have the facility to do so without starting the count on the chip (or 'bowing' the reset fuse on a CLP-500 cartridge). VERY few re-manufacturers can test these cartridges without starting the count.
Sometimes the 'replace xxxxx toner' messages are caused by toner on the three contacts on the side of the cartridge, or their mating contacts inside the printer. Rarely, this can be caused by a faulty circuit board.
