Question about Miele CVA610

Locked into warming up mode

The espresomachine worked for 2 years without any problem, then did not start up anymore. The display shows warming-up with 3-5 dots, but does not go into brew mode. Miele service replaced heater/temp control module, and asked $800 for this ( waived finally). Claimed that the problem was caused by power transformer. This transformer was necessary, because it was 220 V demo model. Capacity of trafo is 4000W. How can this be the cause if the unit worked for almost 2 years?
Anyway after the repair it worked for 2 months and then stopped. Occasionally it goes into select product mode after power-up and then produces a luke warm cup.
Can it be repaired at reasonable cost or is it ready for landfill ?.

    Dear Timid,
This sounds reasonable, but does not help me much, since I have no idea who this local professional would be. The machine is in Falmouth, Ma.
I am afraid this machine is not so common, so to find a local professional is not so easy. Perhaps you know someone better than the Miele technician?

According to this current situation, you can check witha local professional..b-cos the internal circuitry has to be checked..
check with him if it can be repaired..if not you can replace it..

Delonghi cf208 the dehumidifier mode does not seem to do anything, any suggestions

I have the same model. It works brilliantly as we tend to dry the washing inside this time of year. When on dry mode try turning the "set temp" down to 17'c this normally starts mine off,,, failing that put some washing in a warm room with the dehumidifier "temp set" at 17'c just to test it maybe. or perhaps its just not humid enough where you are placing it? Good luck.
