The espresomachine worked for 2 years without any problem, then did not start up anymore. The display shows warming-up with 3-5 dots, but does not go into brew mode. Miele service replaced heater/temp control module, and asked $800 for this ( waived finally). Claimed that the problem was caused by power transformer. This transformer was necessary, because it was 220 V demo model. Capacity of trafo is 4000W. How can this be the cause if the unit worked for almost 2 years?
Anyway after the repair it worked for 2 months and then stopped. Occasionally it goes into select product mode after power-up and then produces a luke warm cup.
Can it be repaired at reasonable cost or is it ready for landfill ?.

I have the same model. It works brilliantly as we tend to dry the washing inside this time of year. When on dry mode try turning the "set temp" down to 17'c this normally starts mine off,,, failing that put some washing in a warm room with the dehumidifier "temp set" at 17'c just to test it maybe. or perhaps its just not humid enough where you are placing it? Good luck.
