I've had these 2 rangefinders for many years, the compact 600 a little longer. I am a caddie and have used these for a long time. It's not my imagination when I say that these 2 units seem to have lost sensitivity
picking up targets. Like I said, I've used these for a long time and it is very noticable how much longer it takes me to pick up targets. Is there a part inside that could wear out? I should also mention that although the Compact 600 is a couple of years older this problem seems to have happened to both units around the same time.
1st thing to try is to replace the battery.
If this doesn't work, the unit may be out of alignment, ie the signal
is not being sent where you are aiming. They can be sent back to
Bushnelland fixed.
