If the cycle didnt complete check the following:

Water-heating cycle
Many dishwashers heat the wash and/or rinse water to a higher temperature, as the cycle calls for it. In these cycles, the dishwasher pauses after it has filled with water, waiting for the water to reach the pre-set temperature. What happens next, depends, as follows:

* On some units, the pause is timed and the unit continues after the allotted time.
* On others, the cycle can't continue until the water reaches the higher temperature. If you have this type of dishwasher and the water isn't being heated (say, because of a problem with the heating element or thermostat), after the unit stops at the heating cycle, it never continues. When you repair the heating-system problem, the "cycle problem" is fixed too.

Timer
Timers don't often fail. But if every other part of the dishwasher seems to be working properly and the timer knob seems to be stuck in one place doing one function continuously the timer may be at fault. Dishwasher timers can't be repaired. If yours is defective, replace it.

Some dishwashers have a thermostat that monitors the drying temperature. If the thermostat is defective, the heating element may not cycle on or off properly. If that's the problem, you need to replace the thermostat.

I have an LG WM1814CW wash machine that shuts itself down in mid cycle. No codes given??

We had a problem like this with our whirlpool duet washer and we found out that the drain filter was restricted by of all things one of our kids socks. I cleaned out the filter and have not had the problem again so far and its been about a year now. The filter on ours was behind a little door that screws open and is in the drain line.

Dishwasher shuts off during cycle

Since the troubleshooting and repair process is too lengthy to include here, please go to the following link: http://www.appliance411.com/service/repairmanual.shtml
to open [or download] the service / repair manual. It is free.

Scroll about half way down the page, in the left column, under Maytag products, select the Maytag / Jenn Air / Jet Clean II "Tall Tub" Dishwasher repair manual... it covers your model dishwasher..

It includes a troubleshooting guide as well repairing instructions

Best wishes on your project.

Washer just shuts down

If the washer is turning off mid cycle then the problem most likely has something to do with the draining or the filling.

First check the drain hose is not to far down the standpipe. If it is to far down then the water might siphon out during fill. The water would fill and drain at the same time. One cycle I would like you to try is the "Rinse Only" cycle. This is a simple, short cycle that should just fill once, drain and spin. If the washer will do this then the major components are most likely okay.

Make sure the water drains out and let me know if the drain pump is the source of the noise you hear.

Filling with water then does not finish cycle

There should be a sensor on the door that tells it the door is shut. Check that this is being pressed when the door is shut. You should see it where the doormeets the washer and can use something to press it. Put your washing in spin cycle and press it if it starts spinning there is your problem( make sure the washer is empty ). If it still doesn't work you will most likely need a repairman.

When I accidently push the start button when I mean to push the key button to open the door, the cycle will start again. Is there any way to stop it?

Push and hold down the start button again. The machine will stop. Turn to Spin (to drain the water that burped into the machine when you turned it on by accident). Hit start, let the drain and spin cycle complete. Hit the key button and you're all set.

The washer shuts down in mid cycle

Hello. LG washing machines come in a widevariety of models, each with unique features, functions and design. Many of thebasic functions of each model are universal when it comes to running the washcycle. If the washing machine stops in the middle of a wash cycle, the firststep that should be taken is to perform troubleshooting steps to determine thecause of the problem. After the source of the trouble has been established, itcan be resolved in most cases by continuing the troubleshooting process. 1 Make sure the lid is completely closed. Certain partsof a wash cycle will not start if the lid is not closed.
2 Check the load to see whether it isunbalanced. If the washer gets off balance, it may stop in the middle of acycle. Redistribute the clothing so that it is evenly balanced around the drum.
3 Make sure the hot and cold water faucetsconnected to the washing machine are turned on fully. If the washing machine isnot getting enough water, it will not be able to complete the cycle.
4 Inspect the drain hose for clogs orobstructions. The washing machine may stop if it is unable to drain waterproperly. Check the drain pipe that the hose feeds into for clogs or debris.
5 Check the house's circuit breaker panel orfuse box. The circuit may have been tripped or a fuse may be blown. Replace anyblown fuses and reset any tripped circuits.

Water will drain durring spin cycle

This is normal on some machines. Run it through a complete cycle it should fill, agitate, drain, some will drain down so low then start spinning as it is draining but should stop draining before it fills or stops. Check if water is coming in at the same time it is draining. If not it may be ok.
