    Hi,

There is currently an Update (Vers 5.10) available at Garmin.com Check only the Nuvi 350 click on it and the Nuvi 350 will appear. In the Upper Right Corner you will see a Category of Updates. Click on it and you will be advised that you need to Download UpDater. Do so, uncompress it, then attach your Nuvi to your computer and run Update. It's simple, just follow the instructions on the screen. However, it sometimes take a couple of tries before the Nuvi actually accepts and shows that it has been updated to Vers 5.10 I guess I was lucky. Mine accepted the new update with the 2nd install but it sometimes takes 4 or more. If you are uncomfortable with the foregoing or it doesn't work for you contact Technical support at Garmin. They are really helpful and you can e-mail them at techsupp@garmin.com

Try this and see if it fixes your problem...first disable bluetooth then follow these steps....

1. Power off the unit.

2. HOLD down the power button and you will see "Pre Boot Mode" appear on the lower part of the display. KEEP HOLDING the power button down and the display will flicker, do this until the pre boot mode message disappears. This seems to take a long time (60 seconds at least).

3. Once the pre boot mode message disappears release the power button and your device will perform some activites to recover from the problem.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Garmin Nuvi 660 cannot acquire satellites

Hi I had this problem and its an antenna fault, give garmin a call and see if yours is still under warranty, if it is they will tell you to take it back to the retailor who will call garmin for a RA Number and they will replace it there and then. If your warranty has run out then call garmin to ask about repairs

Is not able to access the satellite

Update your unit. Garmin has this problem where you try to enter a location before it acquires satellites. It is very noticeable on the Garmin Nuvi 650 also. Another thing you can try is wait for it to acquire the satellite and see if you don't get up and running. In some cases, it can take up to 4 minutes to acquire satellite information. If this is also your case, updating the firmware to 6.10 should fix that also.

To find what your firmware version you have, click on the TOOLS icon (wrench), click on SYSTEM, ABOUT (bottom of your screen). Anything less than 6.1, you'll have issues.

Did you check to make sure that it is not in demo mode?
I've seen complaints that the unit is not working, and it was in demo mode.

If everything is set up properly and it still does not work, you will most likely have to send it to Garmin in the US.

My Garmin has stopped finding destinations - just says "Searching for Satellite)+

I had the same problem with my Nuvi 310. Found a solution in here that works. Here's a copy of the advice.....note you will need to get in the car and set it for a destination and go. 5-10 mins later the Garmin Nuvi will lose the satellites, but don't adjust it it, leave it on and keep going. Eventually after about an hour it will right itself, pick up the satellites and evrything will be back to normal.

Here's the advice:

I experienced the same problem about acquiring satellite signal even when it's a clear sunny day. After 30 mintues, it was still searching!
The unit appeared to have "stuck" in this acquiring mode. The following worked for me:
1) open the GPS antenna
2) press the bottom left screen while holding the power button to turn the unit on
3) enter maintenace mode
4) select diagnostics
5) clear error report, do NOT clear any user data
6) restart unit the usual way

My GPS 350 was able to acquire satellite signal in less than 1 minute after the above steps were taken.
