My Samsung HCM553W rear projection television was working just great but now the screen's colors are divided and it looks like they are not overlapping on each other. Any suggestions?

This is a very common problem with all projection tv's it is the stk392 ic's in your set have failed. You can attempt the repair yourself as long as you understand the risks involved when working inside a tv, otherwise you can get it repaired by a pro and i would guesstimate it will cost somwhere between 250 to 300 to fix. the ic's are located on a big heatsink and the number stk392-xxx xxx If xxx is beteween the numbers 110 and 180 you can use the stk392-180 for the repair, and i would recomment doing this. if it is stk392-560 or another number replace only with the same ic.
