Re: Have a blue pixel that won't go away

Very true, its called a dead pixel and the PC and TV industry allow a few to go by with a couple of them visible...nothing can be done, just NEVER buy Protron again, they are the worst on-going maker of "electronics" that I know of, as I have had 2 of the 32" units die in a tad over one year...take care CDM

One pixel is not repairable unless the plasma dislpay panel is replaced. That would be too expensive for that.

Hitachi ultra vision tv stuck on on moment please screen

Another malady common to plasma TVs are stuck pixels. This is where a red, green or blue pixel will fail to reset and remains conspicuously on the screen in the midst of the new images being displayed. There is a useful third-party program called JScreen Fix. This utility stimulates the pixels in the television through an intensive and prolonged burst of colored static. Many times this is enough to remove the stuck pixel. To utilize this program, you will need to run it off of a laptop that is hooked up to your plasma television. To download JScreen Fix,

Dots on screen

The snowy dots and dots are typically from a poor signal going into the TV.

If there are colored pixels that stay lit all the time (like a red pixel and never goes away) and for any input, that’s called a stuck pixel.

A stuck pixel may be caused by a bad Y-Sustain, Y-drives, Z-sustain, and or a bad plasma panel.

Good Luck.

I left a cd out and the reflection left a mark on flatscreen

You must try to use a dead pixel remover from a computer website.Google dead or stuck pixel remover websites and download their programs. Then hook-up your television to the computer as a monitor and try to use the program to remove the burnt image on your television. This may or may not work, if not then you can try Google. Dead image removal for lcd's and find some help there. According to the owners manual this is a non fixable problem and not covered under their warranty so you can try all solutions and hope one may work. Hope this helps you with your problem.

Blue Noise, left side of TV

I have the same problem -- had a Best Buy technician out 4 times so far, replaced 2 parts, adjusted the voltage, etc., but still have the same problem -- looks like there may be no solution other than replacing the TV, which is an expensive proposition considering that mine is about 18 months old.

If it's a stuck pixel, give it a sharp, firm tap with your fingertip a couple of times... this will make it go away for a while.

Blue snowy pixel areas on my plasma

some of these panels were mis-calibrated from the factory after not aging long enough. Let the TV run for atleast 2 hours and adjust the Vs and Vscan voltages. When it is blue in the left I have found generally the Vs is about 10 volts too high.
