My new MacBook cannot recognize the Samsung CLP-300 USB printer no matter what I have done. Installed driver from package, as well as from the web. System tools do not see any printer.

Clp-300 does not recognize blue cartridge

hi,
i think that you have a problem with the CHIP on your blue cartridge, or there is no chip (its on the bottom of the cartridge). Replace the chip with new one, or replace all cartridge himself

My Samsung CLP-300 printer is not recognizd by my MacBook. USB connected printer is not seen on the available printer list.

Hi,

Am not that familiar with Mac OS but have you installed the necessary drivers. The Samsung CLP-300 might not be recognized by you MacBook because the necessary software/drivers are not there. Perhaps you need to run the CD that came with the printer. In the absence of that you can download a copy here, install and follow on screen instructions.

Other than that, am afraid you have to seek the assistance of more knowledgeable friends.

Hope that this be of some help/idea. Pls post back how things worked out.

Good luck and kind regards.

Samsung CLP-300 printer is not recognized on any computer. Turns on fine, green light, prints test page offline, but when plugged in USB to either a mac or PC, never recognized. Reinstalled software,...

If you have the green light and test prints OK, check the condition of the USB connector in the back of the printer. The pins inside get damaged by being too close to the wall or something like that, broken connections to the logic pcb, You can solder a new connector on if that's the problem, otherwise you may need a new circuit board.

Samsung ML-2510 Printer will not work with Macbook Pro - OS X

try to use the Generic drivers and not the Samsung ML driver for your model. In the drivers list type in GEN and it'll show up.

USB device not recognized

Hello,
SOLUTIONS:
  1. Unplug the USB device. It is possible that the connection is not secure and has become loose. This is one of the most common reasons for an error in detecting a USB device.
  2. Use the Device Manager to scan for new and recently installed hardware. From the start menu, select the 'Run' option. In the pop up box, type in Devmgmt.msc and then click 'Ok'. From the 'Action' Mmnu, click 'scan for hardware changes'. This will make Windows recognize any new devices that are installed. Now, close all device managers and control panels. Now see if your computer will read the USB device.
If the above two doesnt work, then try the following,

Disable power management of the USB hub. To disable the power management,

1.Click Start, and then click Run
2.Type devmgmt.msc in the Open box, and then click OK.
3.Expand the Universal Serial Bus controllers' node, and then follow these steps for each USB Root Hub that is listed:
4.Right-click the USB Root Hub and then click Properties.
5. Click the Power Management tab.
6. Click to clear the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power check box, and then click OK.

PS: If you perform the following procedure on a laptop computer, you may reduce the battery life.

Printer not recognizing toner

Too much people confuse CLP-500 cartridges with CLP-510. Although they look the same and even fit inside the printer, the internal chip is not the same.
