Why is the receiver stuck on standby and it won't do anything else?

Hold in power button for few seconds

Does it power up or straight to standby? If it is on but in standby it could be speaker protection issues...check speaker wires and/or speakers for issues. If it's straight to standby and no power, it's repair shop time.

Can you unplug the unit to reset? Was it doing anything unusual before the problem started?

This is an indication of protection error and might require attention of a qualified service technician.

Check the speaker wires for shorts, if okay! suspect the audio output ic's, the protection circuit won't come out of standby because there is a short.

Your unit maybe on protect condition that why on standby mode,,,it means theirs a truoble in circuit inside that why happened...try to consult in the nearest service cnter or a wll trained technician,,wish you luck

Have you tried changing the Auto Standby switch to ON?

You can prove if the sub amp will respond to a known good input by TURNING ITS VOLUME DOWN tp start and just feeding it ANY RCA output from the receiver while playing, say, FM (to keep it simple). That way you would known in which direction the problem actually lies (internal or external).

Hello. Check all of the buttons on your unit to make sure that they are not stuck...you can feel the click they make as you push it then they pop back out as your finger pulls off. Any stuck button will lock up your microprocessor and keep the unit from turning on. All other problems will require a consumer electronics technician to trouble-shoot the turn on circuit.
