Sounds like the fan is bad in there. Here the service manual, it will show you how to take it apart.

I have an oldDell Latitude C610, when I try to start it it trys to start but then it beeps once and then nothing yet the hard drive is still making a noise

Hi. You might need to run diagnostics on the hard drive by restarting your computer then press F12 on the Dell logo and select "Boot to Utility Partition".

I'm suspecting that you have a busted hard drive and if it is, then just replace the hdd.

The fan of dell gx280 producing a loud sound, how I fix it ?

Sometimes something is stuck in the grill and the blades keep touching it, other times the bearings have worn down and the fan or entire power supply needs replacing.  I used to hit my PCs noisy fan with the palm of my hand and the loud noise stopped!

Hotpoint CDT00G Very Noisy

If the noise is like a shaking of rattling , like coins being shaked , then it is an object trapped inside the drum.

If instead the noise is a loud grinding , that may get louder on high speed, then it is usually a bad drum bearing.

If dryer is not cooling, check that the noise is not coming from the ventilation fan.

Rollers and belt tensioner can also make noise.

Hp laptop dv9500 noisy and loud fan ...

The sound you are hearing is probably the fan, This fan has a noisy bearing and will eventually lock up and the fan will stop spinning and therefore the CPU will overheat and shutdown.
The fan needs to be replaced.

Dell latitude c610 fan is not running when PC is first turned on

The fan is only meant to run when the laptop starts too get warm so don't worry about it. I'd be more worried if the fan never came on at all and would leave computer running to make sure it did come on eventually. Some laptops get warm quickly, others take longer, a lot depends on where the vents are. If your laptop has vents underneath and if your actually using the laptop on your lap then it's a good idea to place laptop on a book (A4 folder is ideal cos it also gives a better typing angle) as this ensures there is an airflow all the time. If your concerned about the temperature then you can download a temperature checker.

where did you get the memory?
If it is in properly and does't work,it is either bad or the wrong part number for your Dell C610
