2 files not responding on shut down

Hi, when I shut down my laptop there are two files that come up as 'not responding'. They are ASUS-MULTIFRAME-CLASS-TryCap1
and ThorConnWndClass.

I have a ASUS AJ8 Laptop.

I have searched for both of these files on the CD that came with my laptop but they do not seem to be there.

I have a little spinning colored circle on my screen and it will not let me close a file that i had open or shut down the computer, can you help me?

Press these three keys: command+option+esc.
You'll see a list of the apps you currently have open. At least one of them will probably say "(Not Responding)" next to the app name.
For any apps which are listed as "Not Responding", simply click the app name and then click "Force Quit".

I press the power off button and it doesn't power off

You should never power down by pressing the power button unless your system is deadlocked and won't respond to any other actions. Powering off in this fashion can cause you to lose data, corrupt files, and improperly shut down Windows.

Nonetheless, if you are in need of shutting down the laptop in this fashion you must hold the power button instead of only pressing it. You'll find this in the power settings of the device. Honestly, the power button may even be set to do nothing, which is possible.

To properly shut down your new Pavilion laptop, which should be running Windows 7, follow this process: Click Start > Shut Down

Start is now simply a circular Windows icon in the bottom left corner of the screen and shut down has an arrow pointing down next to it. Click the words shut down instead of the arrow which will bring up other power save options.

Hi, i am facing some issues in my Dell inspiron 1525 laptop. I am not able to download anything into my laptop. Even if the download bar shows a complete status i cant find the the document anywhere in my...

By the way are you using an IE or Firefox? If you are using different type of a browser make sure to check the settings of which is the location or folder that store all the downloaded files.

If you are using an IE: the default for that would be under either My Documents or My Received Files folder.

But if you are using Firefox the default would be on the Desktop. Hope this help you out. Thank you.

Whenever i attach a picture file, firefox does

your browser must have corrupted files, if you cannot repair it thru reinstall, try to have only one web browser, uninstall other browsers and try to attach a picture file. Conflicts are sometimes one of the reasons for page shutdowns.

Kernal panic alert screen will not respond

Well, if you erase the wrong files, you'll sure get a kernel panic.
To power down your PowerBook when there is a kernel panic on the screen (or any frozen state) you have to hold the power button for 10-15 seconds until the Mac shuts off. Then you can restart it.
If you deleted too many of the wrong files, it may not restart to your satisfaction. :-(
