Dropped unit and out popped a spring looking piece.  I cannot tell how it reattaches.  the player still works but the lid won't stay open when changing disks.

It's just the spring that pushes your lid back up, it's on the far corner of the lid where the lower part attaches to the top part, you need to get it in place there again...

Why won't the trunk on my 1999 Pontiac Bonneville stay open?

Some have torsion springs running across between the hinges, see if one popped itself out of position.

Sharp r520kst door won't stay shut

If the door will not stay closed it is the spring inside door, or the small plastic piece that holds the spring which is attached to the $80.00 piece called outer door.
To fix it, it is EASY and you do not have to even take the inside cover all the way off. Just remove the three sides of cover by gently slipping a plastic putty knife around rim to release the clips. Then attach the spring to the small hole below where the plastic piece used to be, which is located in the metal on the glass frame piece, use tweezers, hold the other end of spring as you place spring onto plastic door latch and set into place!
Snap the inside cover back on and YAY! FINI!

Popped the lid open to change vacuum cleaner lid won't close. It's stuck at 90 degree angle. Is a button to release it?

Hi bndennis,

Please check the spring on your lid, it may be keeping the door open. Miele vacuum cleaners mainly use a spring concept for keeping lids open - merely pushing it down will lock it at the bottom.

Kind Regards :-)

Dropped unit. Knocked the prisims loose. All

It's quite easy to dismantle and inspect, look for tiny retainer screws around eyepiece and/or unscrew lens shrouds. Normally the prisms shouldn't come loose in average to good quality viewers, they'd be held in by some sort of retainer, eg- flexed, spring tempered metal, where you screw in one side and then have to flex (bend) the metal to screw in other side over the back of the prism. It sounds like yours may use an adhesive retainer, if so clean of old residue and use fresh silicone, or may have broken the clip and or screws. But it may just have popped out, in which case reattach it. Make sure the prisms are seated properly, 1 hardly visible flake of glue or dirt under the prism will offset vision noticeably. I would say you may be lucky and find an honest repairer for about $45.00 if prisms aren't damaged.

I dropped and it came apart

Solved it.
If you need to take it all the way apart, here's the scoop:

Get the top cover off by popping it up at the hinge side (this is what pops when you drop it)... then at the charging end, slide the top towards the hinge to slip the clips out from under something.

the folding mic tells the board it is open by a small z-shaped piece of plastic. The skinny end of this fits into a tiny hole in the bottom of the case and the fat side slides up and down in a little round space over on the side of the case. There is a rubber button with a dark piece that sits on top of the round space. The dark side of the rubber piece presses against a round circle on the circuit board and tells it whether the mic is open or closed. Once you put it all together, you have to press the board down pretty firmly to tell if it is all working.

Then put the volume buttons back in place and slide the top back on.
