Question about Foxconn f845s Motherboard
Do you think my Motherboard is dead?
Foxconn f845s is the moterboard I have since 2003 which uses a Pentium IV 1.7Ghz cpu processor. When I boot the system all the other components respond as the lights on the HardDisk,Floppy,SystemRedLIght go on but the display does not come on(the monitor works fine on my other system) If the AGP part of my display port does not works can I physically bypass it?
The Problem started when the system slowed down after I accidently deleted a Nero Installation and then the Floppy drive went defective so I installed a new one. Then the display went defunct!!!
Thankyou for your valuable time spent to read this appeal
and help me if you can and tell me if its wise to get another f845s motherboard to replace this one or is there a no-way-go-bad motherboard in the market to install???!!! for me.
It is unlikely that the floppy took out the agp display controller,
I assume that you have no video when the computer startsup also.
But if that is the case you can use a PCI video card.
Are the fans and hard drive running?
When you were in the case replacing the floppy did you make sure that nothing else was disturbed and were wearing an antistatic strap?
I would go over all of the wires inside.
Please let me know how you make out.
