Same as above... I can view the player via Windows Explorer, but when I try to get in to see/transfer files, that dumbass flashlight just searches endlessly. I have to remove the battery to get the "usb connect" to disappear.

Same problem. USB Connect appears on it stays even after remove from computer. Flashlight keeps searching. Removed battery to clear.

Same here as well. It happened after I bought the new T60. Is it possible the pc has updated itself to the T60 and so now won't work with the T30? Thing is I still want to use the T30 as well.

Finally fixed mine. Downloaded newest firmware from Ran update and it went to 100%. After unplugging it was still showing USB connection. Left alone for about 10 minutes. Pulled battery out to clear. Turned back on and it started the firmware update on the screen of the T30. After firmware everything works great no more hung USB connections.

Go to

download the updater. unzip the file and run the installation program. after you have install the iriver firmware updater, run the program. it will automatically detect what you need. follow the instructions. if the updater stops at 50% don't worry. wait bout a min or 2 then unplug your T30 and it will update by itself

I can't figure out what i have to do to enter the music directory and things i had it figured out once b4 but i forgot and can't remember

Hi there, there are many ways to copy /transfer music to your player. Here¡¦s a common and simple way to do this process using Windows Explorer. Follow the instructions below: -Connect the disk storage (MP3 player) to your computers USB port. If the computer pops up a window asking what do you want windows to do? Click cancel. -Right click on My Computer and click on Explore. A split window will pop up and display the contents and drives on your computer. Look for the drive Removable Disk (E:) [The letter drive may vary depending on your computer] This is your MP3 player. -Next, drop down My Documents and click on the My Music folder. If you store your music files in a different location then find that folder. -Take a file from the My Music folder or where ever you store your music files, click on the music file drag and drop it into the E: Removable Disk on the left of the window. A window will pop up and display the progress of the copying. Repeat the process until your player is full. You have completed the file copy/transfer process! If this helped, then please rate, thank you!fd138d4.jpg

My iRiver T30 has always had difficulty communicating with my PC, and has only once successfully been able to upload files onto my pc, after MANY attempts. Any suggestions?

There may be a driver issue as I've personally had problems with my iRiver IFP mp3 player and would try to load the driver every time I connected the player to my Windows based computer.

Assuming you have a Windows based operating system, I would completely uninstall the iRiver Music Manager in add/remove programs in the control panel, restart the computer and try reinstalling the program again.
