My acer aspire 1642wlmi...does not power at

my acer aspire 1642wlmi...does not power at all...when u plug the charger it does not indicate any life in it at all...using my multimeter to check the voltage on the adapter(charger) it shows its working fine....and opening the board the charging port indicate that current gets into the charging port but does not get to the board...the laptop is just dead...plz i need help anyway..i dont wont to be ok with the a dead board..if there is anyway u could go help me so i can fix it...
