Question about HP Pavilion dv1000 Notebook
I was using my notebook and stopped for a few minutes to watch TV, then without warning, it went dead.
Since then it hasn't worked.
I had a local companys' technician check it and he suggested that the mainboard me be bad.
When he checked it no indication lights came on, but he tried to turn it on with a new adaptor and he removed the battery and tried it again but that didnt work either.
Let me know what I can do A.S.A.P. please?
I tried Solution 2 it and didn't work. How do you get the notebook to come out from permanently shut ?

Alright, I've narrowed down the problem; It's quite simple really. The cooling fan is located under the laptop. the mainboard is angled the other way hence does not get enough cooling. A tip I got froma savvy technician is just elevate the back of your laptop and angle the screen down to see it well. Apparently, getting off it's horizontal axis helps it get more air to cool the mainboard / cpu, which is the reason of all these problems! When it overheats, it shuts the whole thing down - almost permanently!
I've done that for a few days now and I can't complain.
