When you open the camera application, on the bottom right you will see a little slider bar with a video camera choice and a still camera choice. Keep in mind, I believe this is only available on 3GS or iPhone 4...if you have an iPhone 3G I don't think it will work with the standard camera app.

There is an app I believe called Qik video that you could download which would allow you to do video on an iPhone 3G

when on camera mode, there is an icon on the lower right of the screen i think. that is the icon to switch to video mode.

on anything but the 3gs you need an app to take video.

on the 3gs, you go into the camera, and move the slider over to the right.

everything else, get the app called ivideocamera. it is 99 cents but it will take your videos.
