Best way to do this to preserve your amp and speaker is to wire the speaker Voice coils in series.

VC1 = Voice coil 1

AMP + to VC1 +
VC1 - to VC2 +
VC2 - to Amp -

Set you amps bass gain down very low. Crank up the volume with a bass test audio track. Turn the switch to LPF or Low pass filter. Adjust a LPF to about 60 hz Adjust the bass gain up until your Sub begins to sound sitorted or choppy. Then tune the bass gain just below where it distorts. Then you are set.

So how do wire this set set up to a bridged amp any help would be appreciated

assuming that is a dvc dual 4 ohm speaker, and you have a 2 ohm bridged amp, you run a positive from each side of the speaker into the bridged positive of the power amp, and run a negative from each side of the speaker into the negative bridged terminal of the amp. if, indeed, you have 2 4 ohm voice coils, running them bridged in parallel wiring will bring the load to 2 ohms. if you have 4 voice coils, of 4 ohms apiece, you could run all 4 parallel into the amp, but that would bring the load down to 1 ohm, and you would have to make sure you8r amp can support 1 ohm operation.

Wiring a crossfire vr602 at 4ohm

OK what you are saying now is that your speakers are dual voice coil; models? 4 Ohms per Coil? I have always used single 4 Ohm Voice ciol speakers since amps are mostly based on 4 Ohm outputs. but you can get 8 Ohm dual voice coil subs also. With 8 Ohms per coil you can get 4 Ohms if you parallel the wires. What is best for you and will get you the most stable power and still will be in the specs of that amp is to run the amp in BRIDGED MODE running each subs voice coils in series with each other then run those 2 subs in parallel to the amplifier giving it a 4 Ohm load. So, your will have two sets of wires from your amp 1 for each speaker. Then you will take a short piece of wire that will connect the + to the - of each voice coil then hook up the wires from your amp to each sub What it will be is 4 Ohms + 4 Ohms = 8 Ohms per speaker the 8 Ohms in parallel each speaker to the Bridged amp output using just the + from one channel and the - from the other will give you a total of 4 ohms and power out put of 600 Watts so that ends up being 150 watts per voice coil or 300 watts each speaker

How to bridge a dual voice coil subwoofer, the sub has 4 speaker wire connections coming out the back how do i bridge it two one

You have two choices of how to wire this sub.

First, is an 8 ohm load. This is called a series set up. Go from the positive of the amp to the positive of one voice coil. Then go from the negative of that voice coild to the positive of the other voice coil. Then go from the negative of that voice coil to the negative of the amp.

Second is a 2 ohm load. This is called a parrallel set up. Go from the positive of the amp to the positive of both voice coils. Then go from the negative of the amp to both negatives of both voice coils.

Make sure your amp can handle a 2 ohm load. If you have two subs, you will need a 2 channel amp.

How do you wire a single 15 L7

Depends on a few things. What is the impedance of your speaker? I will assume it is dual voice coil with each voice coil having a characteristic impedance of 4 ohms. Next what amp are you driving this speaker with? What is its minimum stable load it can run at in bridged mono? If it is 2 ohms stable then you can wire the voice coils in parallel, + to + and - to -. Then wire the + and - to the amp in its recommended bridged configuration. If the amp is not stable down to two ohms you will have to wire the voice coils in series, you will not have effective power from the amp with an 8 ohm load.

Here is a diagram from kicker to aid you.

How do you bridge a dual voice coil

use a decent wire (same gauge as you would use to connect it to your amp) and connect it between the "+" pole of one coil and the "-" pole of the other coil. use the 2 other poles to connect the speaker to the amp. Have a nice day!

How to wire lanzar opti1532d dual voice coil 2 ohm

Do you have just one???? If so and your amp can handle a 1 ohm load, hook one voice coil to the other (positive to positive, neg to neg) then bridge it to the amp...If not you will have to take the positive of one voice coil and the negative of the other and bridge it to your amp....The other hot of one voice coil and neg of the other needs hooked together (jumperwire). That will give you a 4 ohm load.

I am running two 15 spl soundstream woofers with a soundstream 500sx amp how do I bridge them to get maximum performance

the 15 spl woofers are dual voice coil, i believe 2 ohms per voice coil.

the 500sx amp is rated 4 ohms bridged at 500 watts, it is capible of dropping to 2 ohms sterao, but no lower than 4 ohms bridged. to get maximum performance, you cannot use both voice coils of both speakers, you can only use one speaker, or both speakers, while only using one voice coil from each.

there is no point of bridging them, you can achieve maximum performance by attaching one voice coil from each speaker to each channel of the amp, while leaving one voice coil from each speaker unconnected. you could also use just one speaker, attaching one vioce coil to one channel, and the other vioce coil to the other channel. then, i would suggest getting a second, identical amp to run the second speaker.

if you are persistent on bridging to mono, then you can only use 2 voice coils (both from one speaker, or one from each speaker) and you must run the voice coils in series, that is, from the amp positive to the 1st vioce coil positive, then run a jumper wire form the 1st vioce coil negative to the 2nd vioce coil positive, then, finally, run the 2nd vioce coil negative back to the negative of the amp.

this is all assumming that each voice coil is 2 ohms and each vioce coil has seperate inputs, meaning that each speaker has 2 pairs of speaker terminals.
