When I booth it says 'power save' and turn black

when I booth my cpu, my LG flatron W1943s just say 'power save mode" and the screen trun black. But the red light is 'on'. Please help how to solve this?

This is not a problem with the monitor, but with the VGA card. Replace it and check.

I have same problem with my LG W2361V Monitor (powersaving mode), it's not the vga card as I have a brandnew Dell Business laptop and it works fine at work with my 30" external monitor. The LG is my personal 24" monitor and the problem is I am on a project 3500 miles from home... where the software for the monitor is sitting on a shelf (this being a NEW computer). AND they don't have any of the software available via download. I will never buy this crappy monitor again bc there's NO support.
