id suggest downloading the drivers for windows xp from the manufacturer onto a usb storage device

I can NOT find the Acer drivers for Windows XP.

I know how to install Windows XP - but the XP drivers are NOT

listed on the Acer Web Site - the drivers listed are for Vista, i.e.:

    Microsoft's Monopolized O.S. that renders everyone's old

software useless... If you know where I can download all the Win XP drivers for this Acer model - I would like to know... Thanks...

If your currently able to surf the internet with your vista os id suggest downloading the drivers for windows xp from the manufacturer onto a usb storage device like a thumb drive or external hard drive(hdd).
after you have all the drivers you'll need have:
the windows xp disk.
1)before you restart the computer insert the windows xp disk into the cd-rom

2)resart the computer

3)when the computer starts to post press the appropriate hotkey to enter the bios(usually f1,f2 or delete key) it'll tell you on the splash screen.

4)check the boot order in the bios making sure the cdrom is the first boot device. if it is press f10 to save and let the computer boot.

5)on the upper left of the screen you'll see (boot from cd)press any key(hit a key quickly)
windows xp will then start loading on the computer.

6)windows will look for previous installations of operating systems and display them on the screen

7)click on the partition w/the current os (when you click the os will be highlighted)

8)xp will give you the choice to install delete or format the current partition

9)choose to delete the partition

after you delete the partition windows will show a matrix of the hard drive without partitions (RAW SPACE)

10)highlight the raw space
11)choose create

11)choose create partition then proceed with the installation.

windows will automatically format the hard drive and install.

once windows is done installing and you get to a desktop instert the media you have your drivers on.

    12)go to my computer

    13)right click to properties

14)go to device manager and see if theres any yellow exclaimation points or red x's.

if there is just clik on the device and re-install the drivers

more than likely youll have to re-install your video drivers to get max resolution.

    print both sets of instructions.

BEFORE YOU START THIS PROCESS GO INTO THE DEVICE MANAGER IN VISTA AND WRITE DOWN LINE-BY-LINE, EVERYTHING INSTALLED W/MANUFACTURER NAME AND DESCRIPTION

I have a acer 5610z, downgraded from vista to xp pro. Camera does not work, and ethernet shows errors. Seen alot of people with same problems on blogs, but saw no cures. Is there current drivers that do...

There is driver support for that model of Acer for the 32bit version of Vista.

They can be located from their support site here:

http://support.acer.com/drivers_download.aspx

Choose Notebook>Aspire>5610Z and that will get you to the driver list then choose Vista version you have.

Web cam is not working

First remove the current driver from add/remove programs applet in Control Panel ,reboot and then reinstall the driver from the drivers CD or download it from Acer:
http://support.acer-euro.com/drivers/downloads_gd.html
Select Notebook ,Aspire ,then 5610z, by default the operating system is Windows Vista but you can change it if you have Windows XP.
Download the bison driver and reinstall it.

Acer Aspire 5610z

you can downloads any acer driver from acer.com just download and install all you find for your model... the problem might be if you dont know how... many drivers just uncompress the installing data to a folder usually in a TEMP folder or a ACER folder in this case... just read what you are doing and that will be all.

here is a link for the model you posted here
http://www.acerpanam.com/flex/acerdrivers/bin/drivers.html?CFID=188401&CFTOKEN=30397319

its very easy! Good Luck
